they are hiring together nowEIGHT MONTHS LATER AI writes your emails now. It also answers them, at a cost close to zero. That is not a complaint. It is a price signal. When writing becomes free, what cannot be generated becomes expensive.
One thing still cannot be generated: two people at the same table, and in the third hour of dinner one of them thinks: I’d work with them.
For ten years we have been putting corporations, funds and founders in the same room, a dinner for five or a conference for thousands. Over those years we accumulated not a portfolio but access. We know who to call. They call back.
Access has never been cheap. We paid for ours slowly, in favours we still owe. From that access we build a room where nobody is selling anything.
Inside, we are boring by design. We industrialised every repeatable part of this work for a single reason: so that the unrepeatable part has space to happen.
And we do not answer to a client. We answer to you, in three roles at once. To what you are accountable for in this project. To where your company is going. And to you: your week, your nerves, your holiday in August.
Most of what starts in our rooms continues without us. We find out from the news. Projects end. Professional friendship does not.
